Hey moms, I see you.

For my first "A Day In The Life" photo series I got to spend the day with my sister and her lovely family.

The two of us have always been close, like twins who were born 18 months apart. I didn't think there was anything that would surprise me about their daily routine, but after an entire day of observing and capturing their daily life I am amazed at how much I learned about the way they move through their day. It's such a privilege to see these intimate moments. It's even more wonderful to see your own sister kick ass as a mom of 3.

When I got there she asked "So, are we allowed to talk or...? haha!" This is a common question during Day In The Life photos. My approach is that I'm there to document the moments without giving directions or moving anything around, but I do talk to everyone, interact with the kids and integrate myself into the routine. I really loved our time together yesterday because everyone just went about their day while I hung out with them.

It's really hard to pick the favorite moments (we created a gallery of 250 photos and I think I narrowed it down to 50-ish absolute favorites), so this is just a tiny fraction of her day.
